A long-time resident of Italy and bilingual since childhood, Roberta Kedzierski honed her writing skills via contributions to a number of publications on Anglo/Italian cross-cultural and language issues, on both the professional and personal levels, including Verbatim magazine (USA/UK), and the Institute of Linguists magazine (UK).
In 2000, she was asked to contribute a monthly column to the website of one of the first, if not the first, US-based online Italy travel specialist. Entitled Roberta Reports, the column ran until 2006.
Also in 2000, Roberta Kedzierski launched a column entitled Thinking Allowed, for HelloMilano, a monthly English-language print publication for visitors to and residents of Milan. Topics included living, working, and visiting Italy in general, the Italian language, and Milan in particular. The column ran for six years.
Roberta’s travel writing credits include rewrites, providing new text where necessary, fact-checking and copy-editing for guide books. These have included:
